1/30/13 I will be doing a complete refresh of admin for this group. That way inactive admin are removed. If you are currently a contributor or co-founder, you are welcome to continue being one. Please comment on this blog if you would like to keep your position. For those who want to be a contributor or co-founder, please also comment on this blog. To qualify for co-founder, you either need to be a current contributor or have been a member for 6 months. Co-founders assist with approving regular submissions along with featured gallery submissions. Anyone can be a contributor. Contributors vote on autumn/winter submissions that have been submitted to the featured folder (use best judgement for high quality works).


10/15/12 "CLARIFYING SUBMISSIONS" We seem to be having a lot of confusion between submissions to our "Autumn and Winter Photos 2" folder.  Just because a photo is taken on a certain date that is after the official start of autumn in the calendar doesn't always mean the submission is to go into the "Autumn and Winter Photos 2" folder. Submissions that are obviously autumn (fall leaves, bare trees, frost, etc) that do not make the viewer second guess the photo's season is to go into the "Autumn and Winter Photos 2" folder. "The Other Seasons" folder is for submissions that are definitely spring and summer or submissions that aren't clearly defined as autumn or winter.  Example: if you take a photo on October 10th, and the leaves are still green, please submit to "The Other Seasons" folder. Another Example: If you take a photo on April 18th and there is snow on the ground, submit to "Autumn and Winter Photos 2"

Depending on where we live determines when the season changes not the calendar date itself.

7/25/12 - Looking for co-founders!! If you are interested in becoming a co-founder, please note the group. If you have been a member for 6 months, you are welcome to sign up to become a co-founder.

6/6/12 - *REMINDER* Please do not submit any spring or summer related submissions to the "Featured" folder. The "Featured" folder is for high quality autumn and winter related submissions. All spring and summer related submissions go to "The Other Seasons" folder.

4/11/2012 - With our favorite cold seasons at a close, there is now "The Other Seasons" folder for all genre fitting spring and summer. Since we aren't a group focused on spring or summer, only 1 submission is allowed per month to "The Other Seasons" folder. All spring and summer based art, photography, artisan crafts, literature, etc all goes into that one folder. As a side note, don't submit anything spring or summer related into the featured gallery because it will be declined. The featured folder is only for quality autumn/winter submissions.
